Wednesday Caps Clips: Take a Break
"Recaps and other assorted musings on last night's loss from us, Vogs, Caps video (Carbery, Strome, McMichael, Leonard), NHL, AP, WaPo, THN, RMNB, and THW. Igor Shesterkin made the save of the night on Dylan Strome...only problem is, it ended up not being a save. (FWIW, it was a lot funnier when the Caps still held the lead.) So close to being a perfect save from Shesterkin, and still amazing work from him, but it went over the line."
"Strome gets the PPG and puts the Caps up by one. #ALLCAPS[image or embed]- Green Line Brawl (@glb.dogfishcr.us) December 23, 2025 at 8:19 PM Has Ethen Frank finally found his place on the Caps' roster? [THW] With Ryan Leonard making his return to the lineup, Ivan Miroshnichenko was sent back to the Bears. [Caps] Logan Thompson continues to be among the best, if not the best, goalies in the league this season. Er...last night notwithstanding. [THN]"
The Washington Capitals collapsed in their final pre-break game, surrendering control late and losing the match. Igor Shesterkin produced an exceptional stop on Dylan Strome that nevertheless crossed the line, resulting in Strome's power-play goal. Ryan Leonard returned to the lineup, and Ivan Miroshnichenko was reassigned to the Hershey Bears. Ethen Frank appears to be carving out a role on the roster. Logan Thompson remains ranked among the league's top goaltenders despite the team's difficult night. Multiple recaps, video highlights, and commentary sources were shared alongside holiday greetings.
