Mikko Rantanen was assessed a game misconduct late in the second period after boarding Matt Coronato and will receive an automatic one-game suspension under Rule 23.6 for accumulating two game misconduct penalties in the Physical Infractions Category within 41 consecutive regular-season games. The NHL Department of Player Safety did not hold a hearing. Rantanen will miss Tuesday night's game in Edmonton against the Oilers. Rantanen, 29, has 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 22 games and leads the Stars with 57 penalty minutes. Rantanen was also ejected last Tuesday after boarding Alexander Romanov, who is on injured reserve.
