"The Washington Capitals were back on the ice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex on Wednesday morning after taking two days off earlier this week. The Capitals are dealing with a few injuries after a run of 15 games from November 11 to December 7, during which the team had no more than one day of rest between games. Ryan Leonard, Charlie Lindgren, and John Carlson have all been out for varying amounts of time,"
"Lindgren, also nursing an upper-body injury, skated ahead of the team's practice on Wednesday but did not stick around when his teammates took the ice. The 31-year-old netminder has not played since he made 23 saves in a 7-1 win against the San Jose Sharks last week. "Yeah, he's been feeling better, so that's a positive sign that he's at least in his equipment out on the ice," Carbery said."
The Capitals returned to practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex after two days off following a 15-game stretch from November 11 to December 7 that limited rest between games. Multiple players have been sidelined: rookie winger Ryan Leonard remains out with an upper-body injury and was placed on injured reserve while Bogdan Trineyev was recalled from Hershey to take his roster spot. Charlie Lindgren, also dealing with an upper-body injury, skated in equipment but did not participate in practice and has not played since a 23-save outing in a 7-1 win. John Carlson practiced fully and took line rushes with his regular partner. The team shuffled goaltending recalls including Clay Stevenson and Garin Bjorklund.
