Spencer Carbery presented Dylan McIlrath with a jersey and later extended fist bumps to McIlrath and Brandon Duhaime after the win. Brandon Duhaime fought Jacob Trouba in the first period and Dylan McIlrath fought Ross Johnston in the second. Justin Sourdif recorded his first professional hat trick and a career-high five points. Connor McMichael had four assists and Alex Ovechkin scored twice in the lopsided victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Carbery presented Sourdif the hat-trick puck and praised Duhaime and McIlrath, prompting a standing ovation from teammates.
