Ryan Leonard began his 2026 World Championship run with Team USA in a 5-2 exhibition win over Germany in Mannheim. He skated on the top line on the right wing with Tommy Novak and Oliver Moore. Leonard recorded the primary assist on Ryker Lee’s power-play goal at 13:31 of the first period. He received a pass from Justin Faulk and fed a low pass from the left faceoff circle to Lee, who scored with a backhand over Philipp Grubauer’s shoulder. Leonard finished with one point, one shot on goal, and one minor interference penalty, playing 15:17. The next game is preliminary group action against host Switzerland on Friday.
