Gudas received a five-minute major penalty and was ejected. This incident occurred less than a month after Gudas injured Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby at the Milan Cortina Olympics during a quarterfinal game between Czechia and Canada. Crosby missed the gold-medal game and has not played for the Penguins since. Gudas, 35, has accumulated 45 penalty minutes this season.
