Collin Graf had a breakaway that missed, and a sequence involving Zack Ostapchuck, Vincent Iorio, and Barclay Goodrow extended the lead to 2-0. Celebrini dominated possession and created chances. Calgary answered late in the period as Blake Coleman and Ryan Lomberg scored to tie it 2-2, but Goodrow restored the lead 3-2 with under a minute remaining.
