NY Islanders' second-round pick in 2025 will play in the KHL this season
"After being selected by the NY Islanders in the second round of the 2025 NHL Draft, Daniil Prokhorov has been named to Dynamo Moscow's KHL roster for the 2025-26 season. After his PTO with Dynamo Moscow, the Islanders elected to sign the massive Russian forward to an ELC. After putting pen to paper, the Isles loaned Prokhorov to the KHL club where he'll spend this season playing in one of the world's top leagues."
"While Prokhorov has an above-average shot and is up to the task of scoring in the KHL, his massive size makes him extremely appealing. Standing 6'6", Prokhorov has been referred to as a missile on skates. He imposes his size on the opposition without a hitch and has the skill to complement it. He is still an incredibly raw talent, but will now be able to develop his game against stiffer competition."
