New York Islanders defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 at American Airlines Center, finishing the seven-game road trip 5-1-0. Calum Ritchie scored his first goal as an Islander, Bo Horvat added his team-leading 13th, and Kyle Palmieri scored short-handed and recorded an assist. Jason Robertson scored twice for Dallas and extended his point streak to five games, while Wyatt Johnston briefly appeared to tie it with 0.1 seconds left before the NHL Situation Room overturned the goal for goaltender interference on Robertson. David Rittich made 22 saves; Jake Oettinger stopped 19.
