Vegas limited Colorado’s high-powered offense. Colorado received no help from injuries, missing Cale Makar for Games 1 and 2. Nathan MacKinnon was lost in Game 3. Colorado also blew a 3-0 lead in Game 3. The combination of defensive success by Vegas, key absences, and late-game collapse makes it difficult to predict which Colorado team will appear next. Despite expectations that Colorado should perform better, results have not matched that level so far.
