The NHL determined the players will be suspended at the start of the 2025–26 season, will be eligible to sign NHL contracts no sooner than Oct. 15, 2025, and will be eligible to play in NHL games no sooner than Dec. 1, 2025. All five remain NHL free agents and have been away from the game for about 20 months.
