Warm-ups felt slightly strange for Marner when looking over at his former teammates, but once play began he said it felt like another hockey game. Marner tossed a puck to Auston Matthews during warm-ups and described Matthews as a great, well-rounded player and a close friend who feels like family. Loud boos followed Marner in Vegas, which he characterized as evidence of Leafs fans' passion and travel.
