On a 3-on-2, Kirill Kaprizov sent a slap pass to Johansson at the far post; Johansson's initial shot glanced off the side of the net while Predators goalie Justus Annunen slid into and knocked the goal off its moorings. Johansson gathered the rebound and backhanded the puck into where the net had been. On-ice officials signaled a goal, and the NHL Situation Room reviewed the play and applied Rule 63.7, determining Annunen's actions displaced the net prior to the puck crossing the line and awarding the goal.
