"It's pretty cool. It's hard to realize it's happened. I try not to think about it too much, and not worry about it, and then all of a sudden it's there. I'll enjoy this for sure."
"It feels like a long time, but also it's flown by at the same time. It's kinda weird, but very grateful for it. Fun to share it with the guys in here."
"I saw early on when Spurgy (Jared Spurgeon) had the puck we were gonna get a look. Just tried to get it to Bolds (Matt Boldy) and it's a good guy to get it to."
Marcus Johansson played his 1,000th NHL game as the Minnesota Wild hosted the Calgary Flames at Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul. He became the 412th player in NHL history and the 20th Swedish-born player to reach the mark, joining Nicklas Backstrom. The 35-year-old extended a career-high nine-game point streak (5g, 6a, 11pts) and recorded the primary assist on Matt Boldy's game-winning semi-breakaway goal. Johansson has 15 points (6g, 9a) in the first 17 games this season. Family and friends attended, including his parents and older brother Martin, who wore commemorative MJ90 1000 games hoodies.
