Auston Matthews returned to practice after a multi-week rough patch and reports regaining positive momentum and readiness to play. Matthew Knies missed three games with a lower-body injury and reports feeling much better and eager to rejoin the lineup. Nicolas Roy missed three games with an upper-body injury, was placed on injured reserve retroactive to November 15, and confirmed sustaining the injury during a November 15 loss. Coach Craig Berube declined to identify Wednesday’s scratches. Projected lineup adjustments include Matthews, Knies and Roy returning with several forwards likely scratched and Joseph Woll projected as starter.
