"San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini is having a blast so far at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan Cortina. It'd be impossible for him not to. Playing alongside the NHL's two leading scorers, Celebrini had a goal and an assist Friday as Canada powered its way to a 5-1 win over Switzerland and Sharks forward Philipp Kurashev at Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena."
"The 19-year-old wunderkind then created a turnover deep in the Swiss zone in the third period and got the puck to Connor McDavid, whose shot on net was stopped by goalie Akira Schmid before MacKinnon scored on the rebound as the Canadians built a three-goal lead. Team Canada coach Jon Cooper placed MacKinnon on the top line with Celebrini and McDavid at the end of the first period."

Celebrini scored off a Nathan MacKinnon assist in the second period and later created a turnover that led to a MacKinnon rebound goal following a McDavid shot. Coach Jon Cooper formed a top line of McDavid, MacKinnon and Celebrini, and the trio combined for eight points. Canada moved to 2-0-0-0 and leads Group A, with a win over France able to clinch first place and a quarterfinal berth. Celebrini also scored in the prior 5-0 win over Czechia.
