"As the clock headed towards overtime, Lundell won an offensive zone draw back to Aaron Ekblad, who pushed the puck forward to Sam Reinhart. Reinhart sent a pass from the right boards down low to Eetu Luostarinen, who tipped it across the goal mouth. Lundell was able to bat the puck out of the air and just inside the post to give Florida its third straight win."

Dylan Guenther opened the scoring on a breakaway after John Marino collected a rebound from an A.J. Greer shot. Carter Verhaeghe tied the game late in the first. Sam Bennett scored early in the second and added a second goal after forcing a turnover, giving Florida a two-goal lead. Guenther responded with another breakaway goal. Sergei Bobrovsky and Vejmelka split goaltending duties.
