The Fort Wayne Komets have signed forwards Austin Magera, Dillon Hamaliuk, and Kirill Tyutyayev for the upcoming season. Magera was the ECHL Rookie of the Year with 29 goals and 45 assists in 70 games last season. Hamaliuk, a former San Jose Sharks draft pick, contributed 39 points over two teams and has AHL experience. Tyutyayev scored 23 points for the Komets last season and has also performed with Toledo. The additions are expected to enhance the team’s scoring ability significantly.
Magera was named ECHL Rookie of the Year after the 2023-24 season, compiling 29 goals, 45 assists for 74 total points in 70 games.
Hamaliuk skated in Slovakia and appeared in 27 games with the Florida Everblades, scoring six goals and seven assists last season.
With the additions today, we have added a lot of firepower. Magera and Hamaliuk both come with incredible resumes.
Tyutyayev scored eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points with the Komets last season, also contributing significant points with Toledo.
