"I've been with him for 10-plus years now. It's really our turn to support him. It's hard news, and we're all trying to deal with it in the best way that we can."
Clayton Keller played in a 4-3 loss to the Dallas Stars one day after the unexpected death of his father and was named the game's first star as a tribute. Teammates and coaches publicly praised his leadership, competitiveness and the example he sets. Keller, 27, has spent all 10 NHL seasons with the Arizona-Utah franchise and was named captain before the team's move to Salt Lake City. A seventh overall pick in 2016 and four-time All-Star, he scored 30 goals each of the past three seasons and recorded 60 assists and 90 points last season. He entered the game with 21 points and eight goals this season.
