Hershey Bears announce pair of schedule changes after snowstorm postpones game
"The postponed Bears-Checkers game will now be played on Monday, March 2, at 7 pm inside Giant Center. The Bears game originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 vs. Charlotte has been moved to Tuesday, March 3 at 7 pm at GIANT Center, creating a midweek back-to-back between the two rival teams. The changes create an incredibly difficult five-game-in-seven-day stretch for the Bears:"
"Hershey plays Utica at home on Wednesday, February 25; travels to play the Rockford IceHogs for a back-to-back on Friday, February 27, and Saturday, February 28; and then returns home for a back-to-back against the Checkers on Monday and Tuesday. The results of that stretch could end up being crucial for where the Bears end up in the standings by season's end, as they currently trail the Checkers by eight points for third place in the Atlantic Division."
Two Hershey Bears home games versus the Charlotte Checkers were rescheduled to Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at GIANT Center, creating a midweek back-to-back. The revised stretch results in five games in seven days: a home game vs. Utica on Wednesday, February 25; a road back-to-back at Rockford on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28; and home back-to-back games vs. Charlotte on Monday and Tuesday. The Bears currently trail the Checkers by eight points for third place in the Atlantic Division. A first responders-themed jersey auction was moved to Saturday, February 21 during the home game vs. Lehigh Valley. The March 2 game will be Hometown Heroes Night.
