"Since winning consecutive games for the only time this season in late October, Nashville has gone a miserable 2-8-2 and have been shut out in back-to-back games. After splitting the Global Series in Sweden with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Predators returned home and got blanked 3-0 by Mackenzie Blackwood and the mighty Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. Juuse Saros stopped 23 of 24 shots to keep it close until the Avalanche tacked on two empty-net goals."
Florida Panthers (11-9-1) play a one-off road game tonight against the Nashville Predators (6-11-4) at Bridgestone Arena. Florida lost 6-3 to Edmonton after a sloppy start and an off night from Sergei Bobrovsky; Daniil Tarasov relieved him and stopped all 12 shots in relief. Mackie Samoskevich, Sam Reinhart and Anton Lundell scored for Florida as the Panthers finished a five-game homestand 3-2. Nashville has gone 2-8-2 since late October and has been shut out in back-to-back games, most recently a 3-0 loss to Colorado. Filip Forsberg leads Nashville with eight goals and 15 points.
