Evgeny Kuznetsov has held contract talks with more than 10 NHL teams, still wants to play for Traktor Chelyabinsk again in the future
"Everything is still at the discussion stage. There are many teams with whom we have already held talks. More than 10 clubs. With some, it was positive; some refused."
"Zhenya and I were there together. He flew to Moscow and is now training here at our sports complex together with other guys. We just went to Magnitogorsk on the way from Chelyabinsk, [Vladimir Tkachev] invited us. We went there and then went on to Moscow."
Evgeny Kuznetsov remains without a team as NHL training camps approach, with his agent reporting ongoing discussions with over ten clubs. Interest has varied, with some teams expressing positivity and others declining. One reported suitor earlier this summer was the Montreal Canadiens. Kuznetsov spent much of the offseason in the Washington, DC area before returning to Russia and training at a Moscow sports complex. The 33-year-old center posed for a photograph in Magnitogorsk with former Capitals winger Viktor Kozlov. Kuznetsov recorded 24 points in 63 NHL games last season and may join a KHL team if no North American offer materializes.
