Easton Cowan grew up in Ontario and as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He scored his first NHL goal as a Maple Leaf and has four points in nine NHL games. He will face Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and described Crosby as a Penguins legend, a great player who represented Canada, and a person with stories reflecting his character. Cowan was promoted to the top power-play unit, skating alongside Auston Matthews, John Tavares, William Nylander, and Morgan Rielly.
