Craig Berube says Anthony Stolarz will start for Maple Leafs for first time since November 11
"He's been working hard and he's ready to go, so we gotta get him in there at some point. He's good to go and we're very happy he's back."
"I had to kind of let it settle down a little bit. It's not like a bruise where it just goes away. It was just something I just kind of had to let heal on its own. And, you know, it just took a little while."
"Going back to last year, what he did for us and even at the beginning of this year before all this went down, I mean, he's a huge part of this team"
Anthony Stolarz will start for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Vegas Golden Knights, his first start since November 11. Stolarz last played against the Boston Bruins and left that game early because of a nerve issue. He did not skate for more than a month after suffering a setback and consulted a specialist before slowly returning to practice. Stolarz participated in recent team practices, traveled on the Western road trip, and was assigned to the Toronto Marlies on a conditioning loan to get additional practices before clearance. The roster will include three goalies with a pending decision on Hildeby’s assignment.
