Craig Berube provides update on Anthony Stolarz, rules out setback: 'Obviously, worse than we thought'
"Obviously, worse than we thought,"
"He's not ready to get on the ice yet and do the things that he needs to. Hopefully soon, I don't have a timetable."
"It's good to see him out there with us. Just talking to him, he's feeling a lot better and I thought he was shooting the puck a lot better, so that's a good sign."
Anthony Stolarz has an upper-body injury that is more severe than initially believed. He is not ready to get on the ice or perform required activities and has no timetable for return; a setback has been ruled out. Stolarz posted a 6-5-1 record in 13 appearances with an .884 save percentage and a 3.51 goals-against average while handling the majority of the team's workload during Joseph Woll's personal leave of absence. Auston Matthews practiced fully for the third consecutive day, is feeling better and shooting improved, but remains unavailable to play. Scott Laughton will return after missing time since November 8.
