Cole Hutson returned from a two-game absence caused by taking a puck to the back of the head and led the team with 26:53 of ice time, recording a goal and an assist. Arttu Valila scored 2:11 into 3-on-3 overtime to win the game. Hutson finished the tournament with four points in three games and leaves the U-20 World Juniors as the USA's all-time leading-scoring defenseman with 15 points (4g, 11a).
