Can Penn State hockey add top NHL prospects Porter Martone, Michael Misa?
Briefly

Guy Gadowsky, the head coach of Penn State, has indicated that the possibility remains for adding NHL-caliber prospects to the roster. Currently, top prospect Gavin McKenna is committed, and other names like Michael Misa and Porter Martone have surfaced. Misa's situation is uncertain due to his NHL draft status, and the timeline for transitioning to college hockey coincides with NHL preseason games. Gadowsky emphasizes that roster decisions depend on multiple factors, including eligibility and injuries, creating a fluid situation regarding team composition this season.
"(The roster) is always fluid because of eligibility, injuries, et cetera. So I don't think it's fair to ever say, always, you know, we are absolutely done or we're not done, I think, because there's too many factors that can happen."
"You have to look at everything from admissions dates to where you are with your lineup in terms of injuries, eligibility, a whole lot of things, said Gadowsky of the timeline. "So, I will never say, 'we are going to do this for sure, or I'm not going to do this for sure.' It's something that we examine every day."
