Alex Limoges signed with KHL's Dinamo Minsk after becoming an unrestricted free agent following his tenure with the Hershey Bears. He sought more opportunities, aware that the Capitals had numerous strong prospects that could limit his chances. With the Bears anticipated to become younger next season and a new coach, Limoges felt his opportunities to excel were diminishing. He believes the KHL offers high competition that can aid his potential candidacy for an NHL spot in the future.
"I was also looking for a bit more opportunity. I knew [the Caps organization] had a lot of high-end prospects coming in, so I thought I would get lost in the fold there."
