With Christian McCaffrey's workload, can 49ers get more use out of Brian Robinson Jr.?
"I actually felt like they allowed me to get into a little bit of a rhythm in New York,"
"They allowed me to stay in, finish a drive, stay in for four plays at a time."
"I think his attention to detail, his confidence with the offense, he's gotten better every week and will continue to get better,"
"The more he's out there, the longer he's here, the more comfortable he gets with our scheme and kind of how we see things in the run game,"
Brian Robinson Jr. transitioned from waiting behind other backs to a complementary role with the 49ers behind Christian McCaffrey. Playing time has been limited after averaging 211 touches his first three Washington seasons, and he is on pace for 94 touches with San Francisco after being acquired for a sixth-round pick. Robinson recorded 13 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns over the last two games, including eight carries for 41 yards versus the Giants and five for 53 versus the Rams. He has assumed kickoff-return duties, averaging 32 yards on six returns, and coaching staff report steady improvement and growing confidence.
