What Stefon Diggs said about his Patriots future
"I anticipate being here. I hope so. Love my guys. Hell of a year playing with them."
"[Expletive], unless they opt out of the contract," Diggs said. "I anticipate being here. I hope so. Love my guys. Hell of a year playing with them. We built some real family-like bonds, so I hope so. I don't control it."
"We struggled. There's always some plays you want to get back," Diggs said. "We didn't play our best. My initial reaction is that we lost. Got to deal with it, take it on the chin."
Stefon Diggs plans to remain with the New England Patriots next season while acknowledging the final decision may not be solely his. He signed a three-year deal worth up to $69 million and is under contract through the 2027 season. Diggs became an emotional leader, delivering pregame speeches and popularizing the phrase "we all we got, we all we need" during the playoff run. He played every game after offseason ACL surgery, finishing the regular season with 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns and adding 14 catches for 110 yards and one touchdown in the postseason. He faces assault and strangulation charges related to an alleged incident with a personal chef, denies the allegations, and has a court date scheduled; the Patriots have expressed support. The team reached the Super Bowl after going 4-13 the previous year.
