"There were was a 65-yard reception on a short pass. There was a two-yard touchdown run out of wildcat formation. There was an 80-yard touchdown catch. By halftime, the USC-bound Mosley had nine catches for 201 yards. Santa Margarita registered a first-half knockout that Centennial could never recover from in a 42-7 victory before a crowd of close to 8,775."
Trent Mosley, wearing a USC bandana, caught ten passes for 292 yards and four touchdowns, including 65-, 80- and 91-yard receptions and a two-yard wildcat touchdown. By halftime Mosley had nine catches for 201 yards. Quarterback Trace Johnson completed 16 of 34 passes for 383 yards and four touchdowns, with scoring strikes of 33 and 26 yards. Santa Margarita built a 28-7 halftime lead and finished with a 42-7 victory over Corona Centennial at the Rose Bowl before about 8,775 fans. The Eagles' defense recorded six sacks, three by Isaia Vandermade.
