Titans coach not fazed by fans calling for firing
"Fire Callahan,"
"I don't really worry about that to be honest,"
"My focus is on trying to make sure our football team is in as good a place as possible and the rest of that stuff is what it is. I don't think about those things, and you really can't. I mean this is hard enough as it is to put those other things and think about that. It doesn't do anybody any good."
The Tennessee Titans lost 41-20 to the Indianapolis Colts in Nashville, dropping the team to 0-3. Fans chanted "Fire Callahan" and booed as Brian Callahan entered the tunnel while the Titans trailed 20-6 at halftime. Callahan is in his second season with a 3-17 record and said he focuses on preparing the team rather than fan reaction. Late in the first half, indecision on fourth-and-one led to a timeout, a delay-of-game penalty that pushed a field-goal attempt from 57 to 62 yards, and kicker Joey Slye missed, enabling a Colts scoring drive.
