""As far as the MVP conversation, that guy [Allen] on the other side of the ball [that] we're about to play against is a hell of a player. I believe that team goes through him. And at this point, I like our guy. Our guy's been playing extremely well. I'm not going to put it all on him. We've obviously been supporting him, but he's done a great job at making good decisions, play in and play out. And I'm super proud of him.""
""His maturation process has been second to none in my eyes.""
Stefon Diggs observed Josh Allen develop from a turnover-prone young quarterback into an elite MVP candidate after early career struggles. Allen produced 30 touchdowns in two seasons but also 21 interceptions and a 56.3 percent completion rate before breaking out in 2020 with 37 touchdowns and a second-place MVP finish. Diggs now sees Drake Maye follow a similar rapid development in his second NFL season and called Maye's maturation "second to none." Allen continues to be a central force for Buffalo, ranking high in completion percentage, passing touchdowns, yards, and producing significant rushing touchdowns.
