"[I was] ticked off the entire game, because as a quarterback they're protected, but I'm not," Heyward said. "It just pisses me off."
"He even said after, 'I had to do something to get you off me,'" Heyward said."
""Maybe [got me going] a little bit," Allen said. "We love the competitiveness out of this game. He's such a great player. Sometimes you need fire like that to get you going."
Cameron Heyward said Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen kneed him in the stomach intentionally late in the first half of the Steelers' 26-7 loss. Heyward said he was 'ticked off the entire game' because quarterbacks receive protection while he does not, and added 'It just pisses me off.' Heyward said Allen told him afterward, 'I had to do something to get you off me.' The exchange fueled chippy behavior through the game and led to Heyward drawing a taunting flag after Allen's third-quarter touchdown. Allen called the competitiveness 'fire' and praised Heyward as a great player.
