True freshman Bryce Underwood is expected to be Michigan's starting quarterback. Other Michigan quarterbacks were informed Sunday that Underwood will be starting. Underwood was ESPN's No. 1 overall recruit in his signing class and flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan last November. The 6-foot-4, 228-pound Underwood won two state championships with Belleville and compiled a 38-game high school winning streak. Underwood beat out Fresno State transfer Mikey Keene and Davis Warren for the job. Coach Sherrone Moore said Underwood has grown every single day on campus and does everything the right way. Michigan opens the season against New Mexico and then travels to Oklahoma on Sept. 16.
