"Brian Fleury is reportedly defecting from the 49ers' coaching staff to become the Seahawks' offensive coordinator, a week after Seattle won Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium. He will replace Klint Kubiak, who got hired as the Las Vegas Raiders' coach and worked with Fleury on the 2023 49ers' staff under Kyle Shanahan. Fleury coached George Kittle and the 49ers' other tight ends the past four seasons after joining the 49ers in 2019 as a defensive quality control coach."

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald had figured to promote from within to replace Kubiak, who is hiring former Seattle quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko to serve as the Raiders' offensive coordinator. Fleury took on the formal title of run-game coordinator this past season after contributing in a similar capacity in earlier seasons, following Mike McDaniel's exit in 2022 to coach Miami."
