"I've gotta hold onto the ball to have value," Stevenson said in New England's locker room. "If I can't hold the ball, then they don't need me."
"It's Game 3, and you are only going to get so many chances,"

Rhamondre Stevenson acknowledged that he must hold onto the ball to retain value and his roster spot. Mike Vrabel and several teammates offered support after Stevenson lost two fumbles in the loss to the Steelers. Stevenson’s season-long ball-security issues include seven turnovers in 2024, even though he produced 142 combined yards in Week 2 against the Dolphins. Former executive Scott Pioli urged patience but warned that opportunities are limited and the team will turn to another back if fumbling persists. The Patriots possess other options and may reduce Stevenson’s snaps or move on if turnovers continue.
