Schottenheimer says Parsons will need 'ramp up'

Micah Parsons did not wear his jersey and laid down on a medical table during a preseason game, prompting a meeting with team officials. Parsons is expected to be available Sept. 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles but could be limited with a planned ramp-up and is unlikely to play every snap. Parsons has not practiced all summer while holding in on a contract extension. The Cowboys plan to use his $21.324 million fifth-year option for the season. Parsons underwent a back MRI that returned clean and is currently cleared medically to practice, with required rest and three practices before the trip to Philadelphia.
"At the end of the day as soon as he can get out there, that's great but again there will be a ramp up plan for him," Schottenheimer said. "And when he lines up out there to play, do I think he would play 75 plays and every play? Probably not. I don't think that that's real. But I do think that he can be very disruptive like we all know."
