"It's your rookie year, you're the No. 1 pick overall, and you have a head coach who they fire. That's not an easy situation,"
"So I'm impressed how he's handling it and is still confident."
"He's still a rookie and everything, so he holds onto the ball a little longer than the league average, but I'm still impressed how poised he is,"
"You disguise, make them see different pictures, and actually process the game,"
Keion White observed that rookie quarterback Cam Ward remained poised despite Tennessee firing its coach after a 1-5 start. The Titans are 2-11 and Ward has been sacked 49 times, tied for the NFL lead, with a 2.93-second average time-to-throw. The 49ers are 9-4, coming off a bye and a three-game win streak, and have allowed the fewest sacks in the NFL (16). San Francisco produced three sacks last week versus Shedeur Sanders, and defensive disguises in the secondary can disrupt inexperienced quarterbacks.
