By Tuesday, NFL teams must cut rosters to 53 players. The Rams' third preseason game against the Browns is the final chance for evaluation before the cutdown. The Rams' staff has a good idea about several roster positions while acknowledging that injuries and other uncertainties can change plans quickly. The coaching staff expects to watch more competition because some roster spots remain undecided. Quarterback Matthew Stafford practiced for the first time this week but will rest his back and not make the trip to Cleveland. Decisions on which other players will not travel remain under consideration.
We have a good idea of what a handful of things look like,
while also knowing that hey, things can change with the snap of a finger, if you will, just because of injuries and some of the uncertainty.
I'm looking forward to watching a handful of guys compete because there are still some spots to be determined.
