Ferguson, a second-round draft pick from Oregon, missed the first two preseason games with a hamstring injury before making his debut. He was quiet in the first quarter but produced a 33-yard over-the-shoulder catch from the left slot in the second quarter and inadvertently ran to the end zone after sliding out of bounds. He later turned a short right-slot reception into a 15-yard gain. The 6-foot-5, 247-pound tight end showcased vertical speed and earned praise from coach Sean McVay. Ferguson joins Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen in the Rams' tight end group.
"It was a big thing for me to have that first catch and be able to stretch the field a little bit, showcase some vertical speed,"
"You feel him,"
"He's just got a nice pace to his game. Thought it was great to be able to get him out there."
