Pete Carroll appointed quarterbacks coach Greg Olson as the Raiders' interim offensive coordinator after firing Chip Kelly following a 24-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Olson previously served as the Raiders' offensive coordinator in 2013-14 and from 2018 to 2021 and will resume play-calling duties. Carroll does not plan further staff changes. Olson has 24 NFL coaching seasons of experience, including as the Seahawks' quarterbacks coach in 2023 and offensive coordinator roles with the Rams, Lions and Buccaneers. Senior offensive assistant Bob Bicknell was also dismissed.
