Patriots stock watch: Who stood out and who struggled during blowout loss to Giants
Briefly

The Patriots lost their preseason finale 42-10 after falling into a 41-0 deficit. The Giants scored on their opening drive, converted 3-of-4 red-zone opportunities and saw Tommy DeVito exploit New England's second-half backups. Most Patriots starters did not play; neither Drake Maye nor Josh Dobbs saw action and the top three running backs had no touches. Jeremiah Webb stood out with a 22-yard punt return, a 17-yard reception, three catches for 31 yards and a previous near-touchdown kickoff return. Kyle Dugger intercepted a pass, broke up two throws and remained active with the backups despite trade speculation.
It got real ugly, real quick for the Patriots during New England's preseason finale against the Giants at MetLife Stadium Thursday night. New York marched 65 yards down the field and scored on their opening drive, while New England opened with back-to-back three and outs. The Giants got uneven performances from Jaxon Dart and Jameis Winson, but were able to capitalize when it counted, going 3-for-4 in the redzone.
Webb almost broke a kick return for a touchdown last week against the Vikings, and he followed up this week with a nifty 22-yard punt return. S Kyle Dugger He was also the only Patriot to catch a touchdown pass in this game, snagging a 10-yard touchdown on a well-placed fade from Ben Wooldridge. Webb's defender didn't even see the ball until it dropped over his head and into Webb's hands.
