"I just think Ben exemplifies everything that we want in this building, this program and cares deeply about the team. Plays multiple positions, is a great teammate, plays with effort and finish and tries to work and improve and find a role for himself here. Excited to have him."
The New England Patriots signed offensive guard/center Ben Brown to a two-year, $6.6 million contract extension, with his representatives confirming the deal. Ben Brown is 6'5" and 313 pounds and started 40 consecutive games at Ole Miss, allowing no sacks in 432 pass-blocking snaps as a junior. Brown entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals, suffered a rookie-season biceps injury that placed him on injured reserve, and was later released during final roster cuts. Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel praised Brown's versatility, effort, positional flexibility, and team-first approach.
