Terrell Williams, the New England Patriots defensive coordinator, will be away from the team this week for unforeseen circumstances. He experienced a health scare in March that kept him from participating in spring activities, but the current absence is unrelated to that issue. Head coach Mike Vrabel said the matter came up earlier in the week and will require additional tests, and emphasized that Williams should focus on his health while the team prepares for the Miami game with existing plans. Inside linebackers coach Zak Kuhr, who handled Williams' duties in the spring, will work with the defensive staff. The Patriots lost their season opener to the Raiders, 20-13.
