Denver lost starting quarterback Bo Nix to a season-ending injury, forcing backup Jarrett Stidham to start with a Super Bowl berth on the line. Stidham has not attempted an NFL regular-season pass outside the preseason since 2023 and has four career starts. His pro totals are 117 completions on 197 attempts for 1,422 yards, eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. Patriots coaches describe Stidham as talented, athletic, smart, with a strong arm and unexpected mobility, and Josh McDaniels has prior familiarity with him.
