"For a guy who wasn't even sure which end of the field to warm up on and didn't know the defense's signature pregame handshake, Micah Parsons sure looked like he knew what he was doing when it came to the football part of his debut with the Green Bay Packers."
""I just feel like his presence out there was different," Packers quarterback Jordan Love said. "The energy he brought to the crowd when they announced his name and then to able to get that sack was big time.""
""I'm telling you, these last six months were super draining, super toxic for everyone," Parsons said. "It's something that I don't think no player should have to go through. I think players' fates should be decided earlier. I think the fact that I was traded a week before the season was really outrageous and rough.""
Micah Parsons recorded a sack and finished second on the Packers with three pressures in his debut, playing 29 of Green Bay's 65 defensive snaps. Parsons joined the Packers less than two weeks after being traded from the Dallas Cowboys and exceeded expected playing time under coach Matt LaFleur. Jordan Love noted Parsons' different presence and the energy he brought to the crowd. Parsons described the past six months as draining and toxic, criticized the timing of the trade a week before the season, and said such decisions should be made earlier for players' benefit.
