The season has started and, by three weeks in, several preseason targets have become total busts. Overlooked players who were off the radar in July and August have emerged with steady usage and production, forcing their way into fantasy lineups. Eight players have notably surprised early in the 2025 season. Rookie running back Skattebo has increased usage over his past two games, scored 24.1 fantasy points against the Chiefs, benefits from Tyrone Tracy Jr.'s two-to-four week shoulder absence, and is averaging 5.0 yards per carry recently.
