New Head Coach Mike Vrabel will reduce the Patriots roster and prepare the team for the September 7 matchup with Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas Raiders at Gillette Stadium. Vrabel executed a major overhaul of a previously weak roster and added improved playmakers. Vrabel's coaching pedigree includes the 2021 Coach of the Year Award. Former Patriot Damien Woody expressed optimism about the team’s playoff prospects largely because of Vrabel's presence. Vrabel will not play in 2025.
