Micah Parsons joined the Green Bay Packers two weeks before the season after being traded from the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared unfamiliar during warm-ups but settled into the defensive unit and registered three pressures and his first sack in a 27-13 season-opening win over the Detroit Lions. Parsons reached 18.47 mph on the sack, chasing down quarterback Jared Goff near the sideline. Coach Matt LaFleur praised Parsons' speed and aura and noted the crowd reaction.
